Our Wedding

I thought I would share some of the most special and memorable moments from my wedding since everyone has been asking me how it was since we got back from our honeymoon in the Dominican Republic (more about that later)!

The morning started with my bridesmaids, my mother and I going to the salon to get our hair and makeup done! My sister brought champagne and fruit for the occassion.  All of the girls looked beautiful and we had a blast at the salon.  I definitely recommend bringing some bubbly to the salon to celebrate your last few hours of being a single lady!  Everyone’s hair and makeup looked amazing and we quickly ran back to the hotel to get dressed finding out that the photographers were already there.  John and Snjezana Fisher of Fisher Creative Image Photography were the most amazing photographers a bride could ask for.  We began with some of these shots:

Then my family and bridemaids joined for some pre-wedding photos:

Our ceremony took place at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in downtown Buffalo, NY.  It was the most beautiful day, perfectly sunny and clear with temperatures about 78 degrees.  My mom sang during the ceremony and it definitely brought me to tears.

After the ceremony the bridal party took a limo bus to the University at Buffalo where Brian and I met to take pictures at Baird Point.  We had to race to the columns to take pictures since apparently the columns are a popular picture spot! These are some of my favorite photos from UB:

After UB, we headed to the reception venue, Asbury Hall, to take more photos while guests were enjoying the cocktail hour.  I wish I had been able to spend more time with guests during this time but the pictures we took at the reception venue turned out amazing! Asbury Hall is such a unique venue, it is an old church turned into a concert hall.  The stage is the perfect place for a band and the balcony surrounding the venue is the perfect spot to hang out and watch everything going on below.  Our reception was amazing but it just flew by! Make sure you enjoy every moment of your wedding because the day flies by with the blink of an eye!
